Here are some of my favorite bookmarks for my own benefit, so I can get useful stuff from any Web browser. But who knows, you may like them too.
- United Air Lines. They're not quite dead yet. And now that I live within bicycle distance of their hub at Chicago O'Hare Airport, I am practically their slave boy when it comes to airline travel.
- Dilbert. I help live it.
- Schaumburg, Illinois Local Forecast. Weather is more interesting than sports, and lots more useful.
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Once, someone told a story about a computerized travel guide that had tens of thousands of field researchers. Now, people are actually writing that guide. And I've signed on to help, as Researcher 50930.
- The Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I grew up close enough to it that it filled the horizon. And it's never too early to think about the next Indy 500.
- Alternate History Travel Guides. You know you're visiting an alternate universe when...
- Darwin Awards Official Home Page. For those who advance the species by not procreating.
- Tourism in Prince Edward Island. It's never too early to think of summer vacation. And that, of course, means going north.
- Greenland. Speaking of going north for vacation, here's a respectable collection of Web pages on Greenland - including my own!
- It's a Dysfunctional Life.
So you think Family Circus cartoons aren't funny anymore?
Some people used to write their own captions for them.

- CFAN: The Comic Fan Fiction Authors Network. Bunches of self-published fiction from fanboys such as myself.
- Stick Death. Web animation at its crudest, in more ways than one.
- Patriotic Music for Download. The United States Air Force offers all sorts of free music downloads. And neither Irving Berlin nor John Philip Sousa are alive to complain. I plan to use a music editor, to find out how well the prelude of "God Bless America" goes with all sorts of other songs. I've found a song from the musical "Hair" that would be a particularly good match...

- Join the Fight Against Spam! Did you know that junk e-mail costs you money to receive? I've joined an organization which promises to annoy our Congressmen until they make people stop sending us junk e-mail.
I now support the use of Google, which catalogues the entire Web whether or not you pay to have your web pages included. All search engines that make you pay for inclusion can bite me. (In case historians ever wonder how the word "google" entered the English language, I like to think my support helped.)
